Curator: Niv Gafni, Hamiffal Art Gallery, Jerusalem

The work forms a kind of new universe, containing within it a system of suns.
Each sun is made of a timer, a mirror, and an automatic winding mechanism.
A spotlight is directed toward each mirror; its rays ride on the back of time,
moving along a path around the space, flooding it with awareness, charging it with presence.

These sundials do not mark hours but rather dismantle them into endless moments—
directionless, purposeless.

The primary material present in the work is sand.
Grains of sand that were once mountains have been ground into eternity and gathered anew.
They carry within them a memory of what no longer exists: plant remnants, corals,
and the dreams of people and cultures.
A story of inevitable transformation, an unavoidable inscription of time in matter.
